RESOLUTION NO. RS2016-225

A resolution to establish a new fee structure associated with the processing and review of Metro Planning Commission applications associated with Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code (Proposal No. 2016Z-008TX-001).

WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority of Sections 17.40.740 and 17.40.760 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Planning Department has developed for the Metropolitan Council’s consideration a new fee structure for zoning related applications associated with Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 17.40.740 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the adoption of a new fee structure may be accomplished by resolution; and,

WHEREAS, a new fee structure has been proposed by the Metro Planning Department and reviewed by the Metro Finance Department; and,

WHEREAS, the Metro Council, based on the Planning Commission’s recommendation, finds it fitting and proper to revise the zoning application fees in order to create a fee structure to partially defray the cost to provide the review services provided by The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the application fee schedule attached as Exhibit A is hereby approved and adopted for applications associated with Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code.

Section 2. That these fees hereby replace any fees previously established on the same subject-matter.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect on July 1, 2016, after its passage and such change be published in a newspaper of general circulation, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
