RESOLUTION NO. RS2016-154

A resolution approving amendment two to a contract with Vanderbilt University and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to participate as a member site in the Centers for Disease Control Tuberculosis Epidemiologic consortium studies.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Board of Health, previously entered into a contract agreement with Vanderbilt University for the Metropolitan Health Department’s participation in the Centers for Disease Control Tuberculosis Epidemiologic consortium studies approved by RS2012-452; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the contract by increasing the contract amount by $79,440.00 from $170,645.00 for a new total of $250,085.00 and extends the end date of the contract to September 28, 2016, a copy of which amendment two is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment two be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment two to the contract from Vanderbilt University by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to participate as a member site in the Centers for Disease Control Tuberculosis Epidemiologic consortium studies, a copy of which amendment two is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
