RESOLUTION NO. RS2016-123

A resolution approving an agreement between the State of Tennessee, by and through Austin Peay State University Department of Social Work, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Juvenile Court, for a field instruction program for the professional education of social work students.

WHEREAS, the Juvenile Court and Austin Peay State University have entered into an agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein, for a field instruction program for the professional education of students enrolled in the Social Work Program of the institution; and,

WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated Section 12-9-104 provides for approval of intergovernmental agreements by Resolution; and,

WHEREAS, approval of this intergovernmental agreement will benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the agreement between the State of Tennessee, by and through Austin Peay State University Department of Social Work, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Juvenile Court, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
