RESOLUTION NO. RS2015-26

A resolution approving amendment two to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, to provide activities that increase the employment, retention, and earnings of participants. (LW09P131NCSWA14)

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, previously entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, to provide activities that increase the employment, retention, and earnings of participants approved by resolution RS2014-1323; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement by adding Section E.12 (Debarment and Suspension), a copy of which is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment two be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment two to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, to provide activities that increase the employment, retention, and earnings of participants, a copy of which amendment two is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
