RESOLUTION NO. RS2015-1587

A resolution approving amendment one to a contract with Helicorp to use the services of a Helicorp mechanic to repair helicopters and parts as needed.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Purchasing Agent, previously entered into a contract with Helicorp approved by Resolution RS2014-969, to provide helicopter parts for the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution RS2014-969, any amendments, renewals, or extension of the terms of the agreement must be approved by Resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,

WHEREAS, there is a need to amend the contract to include the services of a Helicorp mechanic to work on helicopters in the event of a personnel shortage or a sharp increase in maintenance requests, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1: That amendment one to the contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Helicorp, to include the services of a Helicorp mechanic to work on helicopters in the event of a personnel shortage or a sharp increase in maintenance requests, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2: That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
