RESOLUTION NO. RS2015-1580

A resolution approving amendment three (3) between the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation and The Metropolitan Government which extends the completion date for Harding Place pedestrian enhancements, including crosswalks and pedestrian signals, at four Harding Place intersections, PIN Number 114944.00.

WHEREAS, RS2011-49 approved an agreement between the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation (“TDOT”), and The Metropolitan Government for pedestrian enhancements in the amount $1,765,000.00 along Harding Place from Nolensville Pike to Tampa Drive; and,

WHEREAS, RS2012-310 approved Amendment one (1) which added Safety Improvements Program funds in the amount $168,300.00 for crosswalks and pedestrian signals at four Harding Place intersections: Linbar Drive, Tampa Drive, Jonquil Drive, and Recovery Drive; and,

WHEREAS, RS2014-1160 approved amendment two (2) which extended a deadline for information to be submitted by the Metropolitan Government for crosswalks, pedestrian signals, and sidewalk improvements along Harding Place; and

WHEREAS, under amendment three (3), TDOT wishes to amend the agreement to extend the completion date of the Harding Place pedestrian enhancements from August 1, 2016 to August 1, 2017, PIN 114944.00; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment three (3) to the agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. Amendment three (3) to the agreement between TDOT and The Metropolitan Government to modify the date for completion of the Harding Place pedestrian enhancements from August 1, 2016 to August 1, 2017, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. This amendment does not change maintenance responsibilities of either TDOT or The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
