RESOLUTION NO. RS2015-1556

A resolution approving amendment one to the Centennial Park Master Plan Support Grant from The Conservancy for the Parthenon and Centennial Park to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department, to support the implementation of the Centennial Park Master Plan.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department, previously entered into a grant agreement with The Conservancy for the Parthenon and Centennial Park to support the implementation of the Centennial Park Master Plan, approved by RS2014-1220; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $560,000.00 from $300,000.00 to $860,000.00, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the Centennial Park Master Plan Support Grant by and between The Conservancy for the Parthenon and Centennial Park and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department, to support the implementation of the Centennial Park Master Plan, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
