SUBSTITUTE RESOLUTION NO. RS2015-1532

A resolution to establish a fee structure for the licensing and permitting of low speed vehicles.

WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority of various sections of Section 6.73 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Transportation Licensing Commission has developed for the Metropolitan Council’s consideration, a fee structure for the licensing and permitting of low speed vehicles as well as low speed vehicle companies and individual drivers; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 6.73.040 A. of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the adoption of a fee structure may be accomplished by resolution; and,

WHEREAS, currently there is no fee structure in place for the licensing and permitting of low speed vehicles; and,

WHEREAS, the Metro Council finds, based on the Transportation Licensing Commission’s recommendation, it fitting and proper to adopt a fee structure for the licensing and permitting of low speed vehicles.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the fee schedule attached as Exhibit A is hereby approved and adopted for the licensing and permitting of low speed vehicles as well as low speed vehicle companies and individual drivers.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
