RESOLUTION NO. RS2015-1510

A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Public Works Department, for the operation and maintenance of a household hazardous waste collection site.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Public Works Department, previously entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation, for the operation and maintenance of a household hazardous waste collection site approved by RS2014-1150; and,

WHEREAS, amendment one increases the amount of grant funds by $42,500.00 with no cash match required for a new grant total of $127,500.00, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Public Works Department, for the operation and maintenance of a household hazardous waste collection site, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
