RESOLUTION NO. RS2015-1508

A resolution approving amendment five to a contract between Opus Inspection, Inc. and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health for services relating to automobile emission testing.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Systech International, LLC previously entered into a contract relating to automobile emission testing approved by RS2006-1666; and

WHEREAS, this contract has been amended several times, including by RS2007-2013, RS2008-408, and RS2011-1647, and most recently amended in 2014 to reflect the change in the contractor’s name to Opus Inspection, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the contract by extending the end date to June 30, 2017; and

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment five be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment five to the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Opus Inspection, Inc., for services relating to automobile emission testing, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same..

Section 2. That the Director of the Metropolitan Public Health Department is hereby authorized to execute such documents necessary as to carry out the effect of this Resolution.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
