RESOLUTION NO. RS2015-1505

A resolution accepting a donation from the Nashville Public Library Foundation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Public Library.

WHEREAS, the Nashville Public Library Foundation wishes to donate $350,000.00 to the Nashville Public Library for unrestricted use of the funds; and,

WHEREAS, a copy of the letter from the Nashville Public Library Foundation regarding the donation is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this donation be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the donation of $350,00.00 to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Public Library, for unrestricted use of the funds, pursuant to the donation documentation attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
