RESOLUTION NO. RS2015-1472

A resolution approving an Interlocal Agreement between Williamson County, Tennessee and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for a reciprocal exchange of GIS data.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (“Metropolitan Government”) and Williamson County, Tennessee (“County”), desire to engage in a reciprocal exchange of GIS data; and,

WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated §§ 12-9-101, et seq., ("The Interlocal Cooperation Act") authorizes political subdivisions of the State of Tennessee to enter into cooperative agreements by resolution of the local governing body; and,

WHEREAS, it is the best interests of Metro to enter into said agreement with County, attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit 1.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Williamson County, Tennessee, attached hereto as Exhibit 1, is hereby approved and the Director of the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services is authorized to execute same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
