RESOLUTION NO. RS2015-1468

A resolution approving amendment one to a sub-recipient grant agreement by and between the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Department of Social Services/Metropolitan Homelessness Commission, to provide rental and utility deposits for individuals assessed as chronically homeless using the Vulnerability Index.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Department of Social Services/Metropolitan Homelessness Commission, previously entered into a sub-recipient grant agreement with MDHA to provide rental and utility deposits for individuals assessed as chronically homeless using the Vulnerability Index approved by RS2014-970; and,

WHEREAS, amendment one extends the end date of the sub-recipient grant agreement from January 21, 2015 to January 21, 2016, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the sub-recipient grant agreement by and between MDHA and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Department of Social Services/Metropolitan Homelessness Commission, to provide rental and utility deposits for individuals assessed as chronically homeless using the Vulnerability Index, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
