RESOLUTION NO. RS2015-1410

A resolution approving an application for a Two Rivers Mansion Master Plan Grant from the Tennessee Historical Commission to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Historical Commission in conjunction with the Metropolitan Parks and Recreation Department and the Friends of Two Rivers Mansion, to hire a consultant to complete a Master Plan for Two Rivers Mansion and grounds.

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Historical Commission is accepting applications for a Two Rivers Mansion Master Plan Grant, with an award of $30,000.00 and required cash match of $30,000.00; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the grant application of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Historical Commission in conjunction with the Metropolitan Parks and Recreation Department and the Friends of Two Rivers Mansion, to hire a consultant to complete a Master Plan for Two Rivers Mansion and grounds, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Historical Commission is authorized to submit said application to the Tennessee Historical Commission.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
