RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-997

A resolution approving amendment five to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Finance, to provide public assistance pursuant to Presidential Disaster Declaration number FEMA-1909-DR-TN to complete repairs and/or replacement to facilities damaged during April and May 2010.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Finance, previously entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, to provide public assistance pursuant to Presidential Disaster Declaration number FEMA-1909-DR-TN to complete repairs and/or replacement to facilities damaged during April and May 2010 approved by RS2010-1489; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $765,796.95 to $54,043,914.83 increasing the required match by $40,305.09 to $2,844,416.39; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment five be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment five to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Finance, to provide public assistance pursuant to Presidential Disaster Declaration number FEMA-1909-DR-TN to complete repairs and/or replacement to facilities damaged during April and May 2010, a copy of which amendment five is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
