RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-964

A resolution approving amendment one to a Financial Empowerment Centers Grant from the Cities for Financial Empowerment (“CFE”) Fund to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Community Development, to support municipal efforts to improve the financial stability of households by leveraging opportunities unique to local government.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Community Development, previously entered into a grant agreement with the (CFE) Fund, to support municipal efforts to improve the financial stability of households by leveraging opportunities unique to local government approved by RS2013-560; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement by extending the end date to December 31, 2015, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the Financial Empowerment Centers Grant by and between the Cities for Financial Empowerment (CFE) Fund and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Community Development, to support municipal efforts to improve the financial stability of households by leveraging opportunities unique to local government, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
