RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1255

A resolution approving a contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and ImageTrend, Inc., to provide Emergency Medical Services and Fire Department data collection and reporting software.

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent has recommended that ImageTrend, Inc., be awarded a sole source contract to provide Emergency Medical Services (“EMS”) and Fire Department data collection and reporting software to the Metropolitan Government; and,

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent has determined that ImageTrend, Inc., is the only source for the required software and related services; and,

WHEREAS, section 4.12.060 of the Metropolitan Code provides that “no sole source contract for the purchase of goods or services, excluding contracts for economic development initiatives and services, with a total contract amount in excess of two hundred fifty thousand dollars may be entered into unless and until such contract has been approved by resolution duly adopted by the council by twenty-one affirmative votes”; and,

WHEREAS, the total contract amount to provide the EMS and Fire Department data collection and reporting software will exceed two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000); and,

WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the contract between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and ImageTrend, Inc., to provide Emergency Medical Services and Fire Department data collection and reporting software, attached hereto, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
