RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1247

A resolution authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, hereinafter referred to as Metro, to enter into an agreement with the Nolensville College Grove Utility District of Williamson County, Tennessee, hereinafter referred to as the Utility District, to provide water service to Lot 12 of the Concept Plan for Burkitt South Subdivision located inside the Utility District’s boundaries in Williamson County.

WHEREAS, Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 12-9-101, et seq., ("The Interlocal Cooperation Act") authorizes political subdivisions of the state to enter into cooperative agreements by resolution of the local governing body; and,

WHEREAS, it is the best interests of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Nolensville College Grove Utility District to enter into an agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein (Attachment A), to provide water service to Lot 12 of the Concept Plan for Burkitt South Subdivision located inside the Utility District’s boundaries in Williamson County.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein (Attachment A), by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Nolensville College Grove Utility District of Williamson County, Tennessee, and is hereby approved, and the Director of the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services is authorized to execute said Agreement.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
