RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1235

A resolution amending the pay plans for the general employees of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County approved under Resolution Nos. RS2013-711 and RS2014-1127, by adding the position of Veterans Service Officer.

WHEREAS, a pay plan that became effective on January 1, 2014, was adopted for the general employees of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County by passage of Resolution No. RS2013-711; and,

WHEREAS, a pay plan that becomes effective on January 1, 2015, was adopted for the general employees of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County by passage of Resolution No. RS2014-1127; and,

WHEREAS, the position of Veterans Service Officer was removed from the pay plan for the general employees of The Metropolitan Government in 1987; and,

WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission has recommended that the pay plans approved under Resolution Nos. RS2013-711 and RS2014-1127 be amended to reinstate the classification of Veterans Service Officer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the pay plan for the general employees of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, established by Resolution No. RS2013-711, is amended by including the position of Veterans Service Officer. This position is designated as Class No. 5740 and assigned to the SR08 salary grade.

Section 2. That the pay plan for the general employees of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, established by Resolution No. RS2014-1127, is amended by including the position of Veterans Service Officer. This position is designated as Class No. 5740 and assigned to the SR08 salary grade.

Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
