RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1234
A resolution approving an amendment to contract number 19667 by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Election Systems & Software, LLC, to provide for the lease of electronic poll books equipment and software.
WHEREAS, on May 29, 2012, the Metropolitan Government entered into contract number 19667 with Election Systems & Software, LLC, for the purchase of electronic poll books equipment and software; and,
WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend contract number 19667 to provide for the lease of electronic poll books equipment and software, for use by the Davidson County Election Commission; and,
WHEREAS, section 5.04.020 of the Metropolitan Code provides that all leases of equipment shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council if the annual expenditure for the lease exceeds five thousand dollars ($5,000); and,
WHEREAS, the annual expenditure to lease electronic poll books equipment, pursuant to the attached amended contract with Election Systems & Software, LLC, will exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000); and,
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment to contract number 19667 be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment number 1 to contract number 19667 between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Election Systems & Software, LLC, for the lease of electronic poll books equipment and software, attached hereto, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
