RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1209

A resolution approving an intergovernmental agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the cleanup and cost recovery of the River Village Apartment Complex.

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation, seeks to enter into an agreement with The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the cleanup and cost recovery of the River Village Apartment Complex, pursuant to the terms of the agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this intergovernmental agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the intergovernmental agreement between The State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the cleanup and cost recovery of the River Village Apartment Complex, attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said agreement.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
