RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1194

A resolution accepting the donation of a Tennessee Walking Horse, “Pushing Cash for Dollar (Cash)” to the Metropolitan Government for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

WHEREAS, Dorris Brown wishes to donate “Pushing Cash for Dollar (Cash)” to the Metropolitan Government for the use and benefit of the Police Department; and,

WHEREAS, a copy of the agreement regarding such donation is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this donation be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the donation of a Tennessee Walking Horse, “Pushing Cash for Dollar (Cash)” to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, pursuant to the donation agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized the execute the same, and the Police Department is authorized to accept the horse for its use and benefit.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
