RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1175

A resolution approving amendment five to the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Vanderbilt University to establish responsibilities in complying with the Tuberculosis Trials Consortium.

WHEREAS, Metropolitan Charter Section 10.104 provides that the Board of Health has the duty to contract for such services as will further the program and policies of the board, subject to confirmation by Resolution of Council; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the contract budget for year four by deleting the previous budget in its entirety and replacing with Exhibit C (BUDGET) and extending the end date to September 30, 2014, a copy of which amendment five is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment five be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment five to the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Vanderbilt University to establish responsibilities in complying with the Tuberculosis Trials Consortium, a copy of which amendment five is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
