RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1170

A resolution accepting and appropriating a donation from the Local Organizing Committee/Women’s Final Four to the Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission.

WHEREAS, the Local Organizing Committee/Women’s Final Four has offered to donate $10,000 to the Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County; and,

WHEREAS, Metropolitan Code §2.112.040(D) and (E) authorize the Arts Commission to receive and expend money donated to it and to accept and receive gifts donated to the commission; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this donation be accepted and appropriated to the Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the donation of $10,000 from the Local Organizing Committee/Women’s Final Four is accepted and hereby appropriated to the Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
