RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1160

A resolution approving amendment two which extends a deadline for information to be submitted by the Metropolitan Government in its agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, for Safety Improvement Program for crosswalks and pedestrian signals at four Harding Place intersections, PIN Number 114944.00.

WHEREAS, In RS2011-49, the Metropolitan County Council approved an agreement between the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation (“TDOT”), and The Metropolitan Government for pedestrian enhancements along Harding Place from Nolensville Pike to Tampa Drive; and,

WHEREAS, TDOT wishes to amend the agreement to extend a deadline for information to be submitted by the Metropolitan Government; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one to the agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. Amendment two to the agreement between TDOT and The Metropolitan Government to modify the date by which the Metropolitan Government shall submit information necessary to obtain TDOT’s Notice to Proceed with Construction Phase from August 1, 2014 to August 1, 2015, a copy of which agreement amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
