RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1142

A resolution appropriating funds from the Fund for Cities of Service, Inc. to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Mayor’s Office pursuant to a memorandum of understanding to fund the implementation of Change for Chestnut using impact volunteering as a key strategy.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Mayor’s Office and the Fund for Cities of Service, Inc., entered into a memorandum of understanding to fund the implementation of Change for Chestnut using impact volunteering as a key strategy by RS2013-536 and appropriated $25,000 in funds by RS2013-598; and,

WHEREAS, Cities of Service has awarded the Metropolitan Government an additional $5,000.00 to fund this project based on benchmarks set forth in the memorandum of understanding; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the additional funds be appropriated to the Mayor’s Office.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the additional funds from the memorandum of understanding by and between the Fund for Cities of Service, Inc. and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Mayor’s Office, to implement the Change for Chestnut using impact volunteering as a key strategy, be appropriated to the Mayor’s Office based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
