RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1116

A resolution approving amendment ten to a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to protect air quality to achieve established ambient air standards and protect human health.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a grant agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to protect air quality to achieve established ambient air standards and protect human health; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $265,935.00.00 from $1,763,956.00 to $2,029,891.00, a copy of which amendment ten is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment ten be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment ten to the grant by and between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to protect air quality to achieve established ambient air standards and protect human health, a copy of which amendment ten is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant amendment be appropriated to the Board of Health based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
