RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1075
A resolution approving an application for the Antioch-Pettus Road Acquisition Grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to purchase land to help meet recreational needs in the southeast quadrant of Davidson County.
WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation , is accepting grant applications to purchase land to help meet recreational needs in the southeast quadrant of Davidson County with an award of $200,000.00 and an in-kind match of $506,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Metropolitan Government’s application for a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation, with an award of $200,000.00, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department is authorized to submit said application to the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
