RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1073

A resolution accepting a grant to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Nashville Social Services Commission to move the most vulnerable people from the streets into supportive housing.

WHEREAS, a grant of $15,000.00 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Nashville Social Services Commission to move the most vulnerable people from the streets into supportive housing; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the grant of $15,000.00 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Nashville Social Services Commission to move the most vulnerable people from the streets into supportive housing, a copy of which grant is attached hereto, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the Metropolitan Nashville Social Services Commission is hereby authorized to accept this grant for its use and benefit.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
