RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1044

A resolution approving an Interlocal Agreement between the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through its Department of Public Works, for pavement resurfacing of 2.432 miles of street surface located on Woodmont Boulevard, from S.R. 1 Harding Pike to Golf Club Lane (S.A. 19029(2).

WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of said Agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation (“TDOT”), attached to this resolution as Exhibit A, TDOT agrees to appropriate and expend certain funds for State Off-System Bridge Replacement and Off-System Bridge Replacement projects and the Metropolitan Government agrees to match such expenditures up to 20 percent or 25 percent, respectively; and,

WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 12-9-104 authorizes the Metropolitan Government to enter agreements with TDOT by resolution; and,

WHEREAS, approval of this agreement will benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The construction agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and TDOT, attached hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the amount of this contract to be paid by the Metropolitan Government be appropriated to the Department of Public Works based on the revenues estimated to be received.

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
