RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1035

A resolution approving a public health affiliation agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Vanderbilt University to participate in a program of public health instruction and training for students of the university.

WHEREAS, it is to the mutual benefit of Vanderbilt University and the Metropolitan Government to participate in a program of public health instruction and training for students with the Metropolitan Board of Health; and,

WHEREAS, Vanderbilt University and the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, have entered into a public health affiliation agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein, to participate in a program of public health instruction and training for students of the university; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this affiliation agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the public health affiliation agreement between Vanderbilt University and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to participate in a program of public health instruction and training for students of the university, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
