RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-938

A resolution approving an intergovernmental agreement by and between the City of Berry Hill, acting by and through the Berry Hill Police Department, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, regarding the use of the Tennessee Incident Based Reporting System and allowing the law enforcement agencies to share crime data.

WHEREAS, the intergovernmental agreement between the City of Berry Hill, acting by and through the Berry Hill Police Department, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, regarding the use of the Tennessee Incident Based Reporting System and allowing the law enforcement agencies to share crime data, attached hereto, specifies the parties’ roles and responsibilities regarding the use of the Tennessee Incident Based Reporting System; and,

WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated Section 12-9-104 provides that interlocal agreements between political subdivisions of the State and agencies of the State may be approved by Resolution; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this intergovernmental agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the intergovernmental agreement by and between the City of Berry Hill, acting by and through the Berry Hill Police Department, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, regarding the use of the Tennessee Incident Based Reporting System and allowing the law enforcement agencies to share data, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
