RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-918

A resolution appropriating Ten Million Dollars ($10,000,000) from the undesignated fund balance of the General Fund of the General Services District to the Metropolitan Government Pension Fund for the purpose of reducing the Metropolitan Government’s unfunded pension liability.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council desires to appropriate $10,000,000 from the undesignated fund balance of the General Fund of the General Services District to the Metropolitan Government Pension Fund for the purpose of reducing the Metropolitan Government’s unfunded pension liability.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN
GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The amount of Ten Million Dollars ($10,000,000) is hereby appropriated from the Undesignated Fund Balance of the General Fund of the General Services District to the Metropolitan Government Employee Pension Fund for the purpose of reducing the Metropolitan Government’s unfunded pension liability.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
