RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-911

A resolution approving amendment one to a clinical affiliation agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Meharry Medical College to provide a wide range of clinical experience opportunities to appropriate students.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a clinical affiliation agreement with Meharry Medical College to provide a wide range of clinical experience opportunities to appropriate students; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the clinical affiliation agreement by extending the end date to May 31, 2014; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the clinical affiliation agreement by and between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Meharry Medical College to provide a wide range of clinical experience opportunities to appropriate students, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
