RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-902

A resolution recognizing those associated with the Smith Springs Water Main Project.

WHEREAS, the residents and business owners who drive Smith Springs Road everyday experienced numerous obstacles during the Smith Springs Road 12” Water Main project; and

WHEREAS, Sessions Paving Company (Contractor), Em Protective Services (Traffic Control), Metro Public Works and the Metro Water Services Department played a key role in providing the support necessary to help restore Smith Springs Road to a viable thoroughfare; and

WHEREAS, Sessions Paving Company (Contractor) - Glen Arnold, Leonard Arnold, Tim Roberts, Robert Hutcheson and Wade Werner and Em Protective Services (Traffic Control) - Erik Maasikas, Metro Public Works - David Johnson, Rory Rowan, Mike Cummings and Mike Hertzner along with Metro Water Services - John Kennedy, Cyrus Toosi, Mike Morris, Sue Amos, Shanna Whitelaw, Ray Hand, George Reagan, Steve Nunley, Mansoor Tavakoli-Dehaghi and Rick Fussell where instrumental in the Smith Springs Road 12” Water Main project; and

WHEREAS, these dedicated personnel have made a difference in working tirelessly with professionalism, expertise and commitment to take all the necessary measures to accomplish the project on time and keep the motoring public safe; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes those who contributed so significantly to the efficient and effective operation and express its sincere appreciation for their service.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing A resolution recognizing those associated with the Smith Springs Water Main Project

Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Sessions Paving Company (Contractor) - Glen Arnold, Leonard Arnold, Tim Roberts, Robert Hutcheson and Wade Werner and Em Protective Services (Traffic Control) - Erik Maasikas, Metro Public Works - David Johnson, Rory Rowan, Mike Cummings and Mike Hertzner along with Metro Water Services - John Kennedy, Cyrus Toosi, Mike Morris, Sue Amos, Shanna Whitelaw, Ray Hand, George Reagan, Steve Nunley, Mansoor Tavakoli-Dehaghi and Rick Fussell.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
