RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-900

A resolution recognizing and congratulating Kimberly Gipper on being selected the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools 2013-2014 “Teacher of the Year” representative from Lakeview Elementary Design Center.

WHEREAS, Kimberly Gipper, educator at Lakeview Elementary Design Center, has devoted her career to providing the highest quality education for Tennessee’s students and is well deserving of this recognition; and

WHEREAS, Kimberly Gipper was selected by her colleagues as “Teacher of the Year” at Lakeview Elementary Design Center, an honor most befitting an outstanding educator as it recognizes the positive influence one has on so many young lives; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Gipper, is a graduate of Cumberland County High School; she went on to earn a B.S. degree in Multidisciplinary Studies; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Gipper brings enthusiasm and energy to her students, has an excellent repertoire of teaching strategies, creativity, innovation, and vision that has brought invaluable assets to not only the classroom but to Lakeview Elementary Design Center; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Gipper, has been teaching our youngest students in the Metropolitan Nashville Public schools for six years, and is currently teaching 4th grade; and

WHEREAS, she is an extremely talented and compassionate educator who works assiduously to motivate her students to reach their full potential, both as scholars and as citizens; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes and congratulates, Kimberly Gipper on being named the 2013-2014 “Teacher of the Year” for Lakeview Elementary Design Center and wish her all the best.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing and congratulating Kimberly Gipper on being selected the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools 2013-2014 “Teacher of the Year” representative from Lakeview Elementary Design Center.

Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Kimberly Gipper, 4th grade teacher at Lakeview Elementary Design Center.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
