RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-888

A resolution approving a clinical affiliation agreement between the State of Tennessee, by and through Volunteer State Community College, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Nashville Fire Department, for the participation and clinical training of students enrolled in the Emergency Medical Technician Programs of the institution.

WHEREAS, the Nashville Fire Department and Volunteer State Community College have entered into a clinical affiliation agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein, for the participation and clinical training of students enrolled in the Emergency Medical Technician Programs of the institution; and,

WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated Section 12-9-104 provides for approval of intergovernmental agreements by Resolution; and,

WHEREAS, approval of this intergovernmental agreement will benefit the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the clinical affiliation agreement between the State of Tennessee, by and through Volunteer State Community College, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Nashville Fire Department, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
