RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-875

A resolution approving an application for the recycling rebate grant from the State of Tennessee to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee is accepting applications for the recycling rebate grant, with an award of $51,374, and a required match of $51,374; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to M.C.L. 2.08.045, this application has been signed by the Mayor and submitted to the State of Tennessee, contingent upon Council approval; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Metropolitan Government’s application for the recycling rebate grant, with an award of $51,374, and a required match of $51,374, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and is authorized to be submitted to the State of Tennessee.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
