RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-782

A resolution approving an application for a Watkins Park Pavilion Grant from The Rotary Club of Tennessee, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation in partnership with All the Kings Men, for the construction of an outdoor pavilion at Watkins Park.

WHEREAS, The Rotary Club of Tennessee is accepting applications for a Watkins Park Pavilion Grant with funding secured by All the Kings Men and the design and engineering provided by the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation; and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Metropolitan Government’s application for a Watkins Park Pavilion Grant with funding secured by All the Kings Men, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation is authorized to submit said application to The Rotary Club of Tennessee.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
