RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-748

A resolution accepting a donation of a print photograph to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County by Mr. Kevin Anthuis.

WHEREAS, Mr. Kevin Anthuis wishes to donate a print of a photograph taken during the May 2010 flood to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County; and,

WHEREAS, the print photograph is on a canvas that measures approximately 120 inches by 30 inches and has a retail value of $750.00; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. BL2006-1015, donations of items valued less than $5,000 may be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this donation be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the donation by Mr. Kevin Anthuis of a print photograph valued at $750.00 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, pursuant to the donation letter attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the Metropolitan Department of General Services is hereby authorized to accept the print photograph for placement at an appropriate location.

Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
