RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-724

A resolution authorizing the application for and acceptance of a donation of printers and handheld scanners by the Tennessee Department of Revenue to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the use and benefit of the Davidson County Clerk.

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Department of Revenue wishes to donate 85 printers and handheld scanners valued at $850 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County; and,

WHEREAS, a copy of the application regarding the donation application is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. BL2006-1015, donations of items valued less than $5,000 may be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this donation be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the application for and acceptance of the donation of printers and handheld scanners by the Tennessee Department of Revenue to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the Davidson County Clerk is authorized to accept the donation for its use and benefit.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
