RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-693
A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to enter into agreements with the cities of Belle Meade, Berry Hill, Goodlettsville, Forest Hills and Oak Hill with respect to the performance of municipal functions.
WHEREAS, the cities of Belle Meade, Berry Hill, Goodlettsville, Forest Hills and Oak Hill are all located within or largely within Davidson County, Tennessee; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government proposes to enter into an agreement with each such city for the purposes of clarifying responsibility for the performance of certain municipal functions therein; and
WHEREAS, Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 12-9-101, et seq., authorizes the governing bodies of political subdivisions of the state to approve cooperative agreements by resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Metropolitan Government that the agreements attached and incorporated into this resolution as exhibits A-E be approved.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the proposed agreement between the Metropolitan Government and the city of Belle Meade (Exhibit A) is hereby approved.
Section 2. That the proposed agreement between the Metropolitan Government and the city of Berry Hill (Exhibit B) is hereby approved.
Section 3. That the proposed agreement between the Metropolitan Government and the city of Goodlettsville (Exhibit C) is hereby approved.
Section 4. That the proposed agreement between the Metropolitan Government and the city of Forest Hills (Exhibit D) is hereby approved.
Section 5. That the proposed agreement between the Metropolitan Government and the city of Oak Hill (Exhibit E) is hereby approved.
Section 6. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government requiring it.
