RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-680

A resolution approving an amendment to the sub-grant interlocal agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of Emergency Management, and the City of Hendersonville, for participation in the Fiscal Year 2010 Port Security Grant Program funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (No. 2010-PU-T0-K054).

WHEREAS, an interlocal agreement was previously entered between the Metropolitan Government and the City of Hendersonville, a sub-grantee for participation in the FY2010 Port Security Grant Program funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, approved by resolution RS2012-142; and,

WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Grantor, has modified the terms of the original agreement requiring the parties to the sub-grant to increase the amount of the sub-grant from $250,000 to $300,000; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the amendment to the interlocal agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of Emergency Management, and the City of Hendersonville, increasing the sub-grant award from $250,000 to $300,000, for participation in the Fiscal Year 2010 Port Security Grant Program funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
