RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-673

A resolution approving amendment four to a grant from the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Mayor’s Office of Environment and Sustainability, to establish a program to increase residential energy efficiency building retrofits which include financial incentives to homeowners and community outreach programs.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Mayor’s Office of Environment and Sustainability, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance to establish a program to increase residential energy efficiency building retrofits which include financial incentives to homeowners and community outreach programs approved by RS2010-1492; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that grant agreement to extend the end date to September 30, 2013 and to revise the program budget, a copy of which amendment four is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment four be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment four to the grant by and between the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Mayor’s Office of Environment and Sustainability, to establish a program to increase residential energy efficiency building retrofits which include financial incentives to homeowners and community outreach programs, a copy of which amendment four is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
