RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-664
A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Department of Law to compromise and settle the personal injury claims of Ashlee Parker on behalf of her minor daughter, Amijah Parker, against the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County in the amount of $9,245.00, and that said amount be paid out of the Self-Insured Liability Fund.
WHEREAS, on February 24, 2011, a vehicle owned by the Metropolitan Government and operated by a Sheriff’s Department employee struck the vehicle in which Amijah Parker was a passenger, causing injury to Amijah Parker; and,
WHEREAS, after investigation, the Metropolitan Department of Law believes the settlement amount as set forth in Section 1 is fair and reasonable and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to compromise and settle the claims of Ashlee Parker on behalf of her minor daughter, Amijah Parker, for the sum of $9,245.00. This amount shall be paid out of the Self-Insured Liability Fund.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
