RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-644

A resolution approving an amendment to a lease agreement between the State of Tennessee and the Metropolitan Government (Proposal No. 2010M-002PR-003).

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee owns a parcel of real property (the “Property”) comprising the campus of the former Tennessee Preparatory School; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to an agreement (the “Agreement”) approved by Ordinance No. BL2010-721, the Metropolitan Government leases a portion of the Property for use as the campus of the Nashville School of the Arts; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to an amendment to the lease approved by Resolution No. RS2013-629, the Metropolitan Government amended the Agreement to add the first floor of an additional building or approximately 14,000 additional square feet to the leased premises; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the document (the “Amendment”) attached to this resolution as Exhibit A, the parties seek to amend the Agreement further to add the entire square footage of the additional building to the leased premises.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Amendment (Exhibit A) is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
