RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-634

A resolution approving a memorandum of understanding by and between the Tennessee Administrative Office of the Courts and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the State Trial Courts, to enhance the technology currently in use.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council previously approved a Courtroom Technology Improvement Grant from the Tennessee Administrative Office of the Courts to enhance technology currently in use to more effectively and efficiently process cases which grant was approved by RS2013-563; and,

WHEREAS, the original grant package failed to include the memorandum of understanding between the parties which detailed the duties of each party; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the attached memorandum of understanding be approved and added to the original grant package.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the memorandum of understanding by and between the Tennessee Administrative Office of the Courts and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the State Trial Courts, to enhance technology currently in use to more effectively and efficiently process cases, a copy of which memorandum of understanding is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
