RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-629

A resolution approving an amendment to a lease agreement between the State of Tennessee and the Metropolitan Government (Proposal No. # 2010M-002PR-002).

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee owns a parcel of real property (the “Property”) comprising the campus of the former Tennessee Preparatory School; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to an agreement (the “Agreement”) approved by Ordinance No. BL2010-721, the Metropolitan Government leases a portion of the Property for use as the campus of the Nashville School of the Arts; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the document (the “Amendment”) attached to this resolution as Exhibit A, the parties seek to amend the Agreement to add an additional building to the leased premises.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Amendment (Exhibit A) is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
