RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-601

A resolution approving an agreement between the United States Department of the Army and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Water and Sewerage Services, for the Harpeth River Watershed Feasibility Study being conducted in Davidson and Williamson Counties, Tennessee and authorizing all necessary officials to execute the same.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Water and Sewerage Services has developed an agreement with the Williamson County agencies for the Harpeth River Watershed Feasibility Study and the United States Department of the Army, Corps of Engineers; and,

WHEREAS, the parties to the agreement will fund a share of the cost based on the scope of the Study for their jurisdiction; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this multi-jurisdictional agreement be approved and the Corps of Engineers perform the study.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That said agreement by and between the United States Department of the Army, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Water and Sewerage Services, City of Franklin, City of Brentwood, and Williamson County to conduct a feasibility study on the Harpeth River Watershed Area, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
