RESOLUTION NO. RS2013-553

A resolution recognizing Mr. David M. Satterfield on his participation in the 2012 Ann Chapman Holiday Lights.

WHEREAS, Mr. David M. Satterfield of Antioch, was chosen as the District 29 winner of the 2012 Ann Chapman Holiday Lights competition; and

WHEREAS, the annual Holiday Lights competition was opened to all residents of Davidson County, with recognition given in each Metro Councilmanic district represented; and

WHEREAS, Mr. David M. Satterfield has been participating in the Ann Chapman Holiday Lights competition since 2006 and since then he was the district winner in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011; and

WHEREAS, his holiday display at 2928 Kinwood Drive showcased his creativity and holiday spirit; and

WHEREAS, residents are judged according to their designs, originality and use of environmental elements such as LED lighting, recycling and/or nature themes, or including recycled items in their display; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor, Metro Public Works, Metro Beautification & Environment Commission, Nashville Electric Service and NewsChannel 5 sponsored one of Nashville’s longest running holiday traditions, as 2012 was the 25th year of the contest; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes and congratulates Mr. David Satterfield on his winning holiday display and wish him a joyous and prosperous 2013.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Mr. David M. Satterfield on his participation in the 2012 Ann Chapman Holiday Lights.

Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Mr. David M. Satterfield.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
